Our Background

'Founded in 2018, Whiteman's Fine Art have a track record of successfully navigating the international art market for private collectors and public institutions. We specialise in early modern pictures with portraiture being of particular interest, and offer Old Master and nineteenth century artworks sourced from across Europe and the Anglosphere. 

Whiteman's offer a range of advisory services to our clients. These include the valuing of artworks and collections, handling artworks on consignment, and using our established base of private and trade contacts to discreetly source artwork from, and place artwork within, the international art market on request. We are also pleased to undertake historical research. Having previously consulted leading auction houses, galleries, and private collectors, we have traced provenance, confirmed attributions with academics, and written catalogue entries for artworks by Thomas Lawrence, Allan Ramsay, Angelica Kauffman, and many more.
