Founded by Joshua Whiteman-Gardner in 2018, we act as agents and dealers in fine art specialising in Old Masters with British, French, and Italian portraiture being of particular interest. Whiteman’s Advisory offers highly personalised advice regarding the maintenance, display, and moving of artworks within and without complex regulatory environments. We advise on intergenerational collection planning, assess when and when not to make acquisitions, offer representation at auction and private sales, and provide services such as tailored valuations, artwork sourcing, and discreet consignment handling. 
 

Connoisseurship is at the centre of what we do and we undertake rigorous historical and technical research on artworks. Our Courtauld educated researchers, Amelia Wood-Weatherill and Matthew Barrowes, work closely with leading academics and have confirmed numerous important attributions.
